The mentors provide students with an opportunity to learn, first-hand about a job or career they are thinking about pursuing after graduation. As freshmen, students are only just beginning to explore their future and can benefit from a mentor who is available to share there time, experiences and expertise from the world of work.

In order to serve all students, Henry Sibley is looking for mentors from a wide variety of career and educational backgrounds. All members of our community are encouraged to become part of the program.

Mentors meet with small groups of students during class, four times throughout the school year. Each visit is approximately one hour and forty-five minutes and mentors are provided with training, discussion topics and activities.

Warrior Seminar is a required class for all 9th grade students at Henry Sibley. The year-long class covers a variety of topics aimed at helping students transition from middle school to high school, but also helping them begin to think about life after they graduate and setting the stage for post-secondary planning in grades 10-12.
